The Montreal wedding scene is a very busy one. With so many vendors in so many categories it can get overwhelming at times to narrow it down!

When it comes time to start planning your wedding (and don’t forget to start early! As I’ve posted before here), there are many resources available to newly engaged couples. One of them are wedding shows or bridal showcases.
In Montreal these shows are usually annually, sometimes bi-annually, and there are many of them!
The Big Montreal Wedding Shows
Let’s Get Married / Marrions-Nous
The Let’s Get Married wedding show is most likely the largest of the shows, and happens twice a year (usually September and January) downtown at Place Bonaventure. This show really has everything and everyone you would need to plan your big day. Because it is so large, make sure to give yourself plenty of time to walk around and compare, you can not rush through this one.
Le Salon de la Mariée
The Salon de la Mariee is put on each year in February at Les Palais des Congres by Sheldon Kagan. Although not as large as Let’s Get Married, it is still very big. Here too you would be able to find every vendor you would need for your day and have a very good choice to match your style.
The More Intimate Wedding Shows
These wedding showcases tend to be more intimate, held at smaller venues, and have fewer vendors on display. That does not mean you will not find what you are looking for. It may just be the opposite! The large weddings shows are indeed information overload and you can sometimes forget who you met at the beginning of the day once you’ve met 40 vendors. These smaller shows choose some of the higher end and best in class vendors from around the area.
Elegant Wedding Bridal Showcase
The Montreal Elegant Wedding bridal showcase this year is happening on November 18, 2012 at Le Windsor Ballrooms. This show aims at helping you plan your wedding day with the most prestigious wedding professionals in the city.
Bridal Boudoir Affair
The Maddy K Bridal Boudoir Affair is a very prestigious showcase and is usually held early on in the year (the next show is in March 2013). Maddy K is one of the best wedding planners in Montreal, and this wedding showcase only has vendors that she hand picks to exhibit.
Glamour Bride Show
The Glamour Bride Show is held at the newly renovated Le Crystal in Ville St-Laurent and will take place on January 20th, 2013. The show promises a variety of elegance, glamour and exquisite boutique styled exhibits.
Galerie du Marriage
The Galerie du Marriage, run by Bride and Groom Canada, offers a new concept to bridal shows in Montreal. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal on Mansfield and St. Catherine street, it is the only bridal showcase open year round, six days a week. There are vendors placed throughout the 3 floors of the building that you can visit and get information from. Although the Galerie does not offer as much variety as the other shows, it is open weekly, so you can go any time.
